Our first daughter is named Aluna Faith. It's quite an interesting and unusual story of how this came to be...
When my sisters and I were little girls, we would make up stories, complete with complex characters, plots, etc. Well, my favourite character that we ever used/created, was named Aluna. (We went through old yearbooks to find cool names for characters, and this one was the best). I loved this character so much, that I would draw pictures of her all the time, which I still have.
When I got pregnant, the first name that popped into my head for a girl, was Aluna. She was a feisty, couragous, girl character, and I thought she would be a great namesake for a little girl. I plan on framing the drawings of Aluna and hanging them in our little Aluna Faith's room.
When we have a boy, I have another character in mind for him to share a name with!
