Cadence ~ a drum rhythm
I chose my little girl's name to be Cadence. Most people know it to mean a drum rhythm that a band plays while marching to their destination. I chose this name because before I found out that they were actually hiccups, I used to think that my baby was kicking (or
punching) in total rhythm . . . the movement was SO dead on time/rhythm every time it happened that I was totally amazed, and it usually lasted for several minutes.
Now that I know it was hiccups I understand why it was so rhythmic. I now think back to the times where I thought she was just kicking and I have to laugh.
