Coming to a decision on a girl's name was tough for Sean and I. We immediately knew we'd name our son Sean Jr if we had a boy. So, the search for a girl's name started. We browsed several baby name books, viewed the internet and spoke with friends. We didn't want something too common yet we didn't want anything too far fetched. I knew I wanted the middle name of Reneé. It's French and I'm of French descent. I love having a name with an accent too. It's just so feminine. Sean and I both came up with a list of girl's names. Some, I liked; others he liked. We really couldn't come up with a name that we both really liked. So, there we sat with a list of names trying to decide on what we liked. I kept thinking to myself, "I'm 7 months pregnant, we really need to decide on something".
Another month passed and we moved. We had just settled into our new home across the country. Late one night, I pulled the name book out along with our list. I started putting names with the middle name I had chosen. The name Haley popped into my mind. Sean walked in the room and I asked him what he thought of HALEY RENEÉ. He said "It's perfect!".
The day after Haley was born, we sat in our hospital room staring at our sweet daughter. Sean looked at me and said, "She looks like a Haley Reneé".
