Jera ~ from Rune stones, meaning fertility-one year
For the longest time I thought I would only have one child. My son, who is 13 is disabled and I have no diagnosis as to what caused his disability, so I was always afraid to have more children. The doctors said it would probably never happen again, but I was still afraid.
Then about two and a half years ago I met the most wonderful man. He had no children and as the years went by we began talking about having a child. Once we decided to start trying, things just never happened and we began to wonder if one of us was sterile. We had been trying to conceive for almost 10 months and I was beginning to give up.
A friend had bought me a set of Rune stones for Christmas. I know some people don't believe in stuff like this but this is pretty amazing. I sat in my room and concentrated on fertility and the thought of ever having another child... was it possible? I pulled one stone out of the bag. Out of 25 stones, the stone I pulled was the stone of JERA. I looked it up in the book that came with the stones and it stands for "fertility, one year." This gave me goosebumps. It talked about how you have sewn the seed and now it is time to grow and so on.
I went straight to Wal-mart and bought a pregnancy test, came home and it was positive. When I told my boyfriend we were expecting and what made me buy the test, he said if it's a girl she will have Jera somewhere in her name. Well as it turned out she got it as a first name. She is perfectly healthy and the most precious little angel.
