Combining Family Names For Our Baby ~ Story by Valerie and Hunter Peek
My husband and I found out about two months ago that we are going to have a little girl in March. We knew we were pregnant, but we were finally able to see the baby's sex in November. We wanted to honor both sides of the family, but we weren't sure we wanted to honor just one person. So what did we do? We took my mother's maiden name (Lanier) for her first name and his mother's maiden name (Comer) for the middle name. Our daughter's name will be Lanier Comer Peek. We think it's pretty, and we hope she likes it.
