My four year old daughter's name is Taylor. With our second daughter, we wanted an unsual name. One of our favorite shows is Law & Order Special Victims Unit. The girl with short black hair is named Mariska. My husband mispronounced it and said Markiska (Mar-Kee-Ska). I came up with the idea of calling her Marki for short. My four year old heard it and loved Marki so it's Markiska, but nickname is Marki.
I either hear that people love it or they don't say anything.
