This is the name of our second daughter. I was watching "A Baby Story" on TLC when I was in my third trimester, and a couple was having a girl they were going to name Makenna. I liked the name but not the spelling, so I changed it to McKenna.
I could not think of a middle name that sounded right with McKenna when it suddenly hit me that her father's middle name is Ray as is her gradfather's, so I changed the spelling to make it feminine... Rae.
She is now four, and we still call her by both names most of the time. She even introduces herself as McKenna Rae!
