Nancy ~ means Grace
Lynn ~ means cascade or waterfall
I have always loved my name. My father left for Vietnam when my mother was three months pregnant. Before he left they purchased a baby name book together. They sat down and agreed that they would circle the names they liked, put a line through the ones they didn't and leave the rest alone. After he was shipped out my mother continued to send the book to him and he in turn returned it to her many times.
The book arrived a week before I was born. My mother wanted to name me Ann or Pat, my father was into Heather and Stephanie. When my mom went throught the book that last time she realized that the only names that were not crossed out or circled were Nancy Lynn. They both liked the name. Therefore I am Nancy Lynn. It was the best name decision they could have made. It fits my personality, I have ALWAYS liked it and they never got tired of it. A plus is everybody can spell it making my life so much simpler.
