Novalea ~ from the movie, "Where the Heart Is." Nova is Latin for energetic or new. Lea is Hawaiian for goddess-like.
It comes from the movie, "Where the Heart Is" as well as from a friend of mine whose sister's name is Novalea. My husband and I heard that name and even before we were married and talking about having children, we knew that this would be our first daughter's name. We both thought it was such a beautiful name. You don't hear it that often so we thought it would be unique, which is something that we want; none of those traditional names, we wanted something that would stand out.
