Teaghan ~ Welsh for beautiful, attractive
Rose ~ Latin for rose
My third daughter was born in 2002 which was "The Year of the Rose" (as declared by The U.S. Senate and House of Representatives). She was also born during the month of June, which makes the rose her birth flower. So it has double meaning for her. I knew that I wanted to use the name "Rose" in some form, but I also wanted something unique and pretty sounding to go along with it.
I had come across a little teddy bear with the name Teaghan. In Welsh, "Teaghan" means beautiful. Her father has some Welsh in his family's ancestory, hence her father and I decided to name our daughter Teaghan Rose . . . She's our "Beautiful Rose." It seems to suit her well. She is a lovely, sweet child and she loves her name!
