Dulcie's Taste of Magic (Disney Fairies Series)
by Gail Herman

Reviewed by S. Spangler (age 9)

Dulcie is the head baking talent fairy in Pixie Hollow. Every fairy agrees that she is the best baker in Pixie Hollow. Until one day, that is. One morning, Dulcie overslept and rushed to the kitchen, where she found everything in chaos! Fairies were bumping into each other and spilling things. The only fairy that wasn't going completely nuts was the new fairy, Ginger. She thinks that the baking talent fairies can do the work without Dulcie. When Dulcie is noticed, the fairies promised to go straight to work and Dulcie set them straight by ordering them around. She was so worried that she didn't realize she was being so bossy. When she was finally ready to serve breakfast, it was then she realized that she'd used salt instead of flour! She felt terrible. Will Dulcie be able to make up for her mistake, or will she be banned from the Pixie Hollow kitchen forever?

I really liked Dulcie's Taste of Magic. It was funny and I didn't want it to end. The reading wasn't very difficult. There are one-hundred and seven pages. It took one day to read it and the vocabulary was stress-free! Anyone who likes the Disney fairies will really like this book.

My Rating:
Out of a possible 5 Stars = Stars!

Recommended for children ages 9-12
