Ramona and Her Mother
by Beverly Cleary

Reviewed by S. Spangler, age 8

Synopsis:
This is a chapter book. As the name says, it's about Ramona and her mother. The main characters are Ramona and Mrs. Quimby. This book is about Mrs. Quimby helping Ramona solve her problems. Ramona's super grateful for what her mother goes through to make her feel better. This book even shows her parents acting like little kids. All of Ramona's problems contain funny, laugh out-loud scenes. In the beginning, her family hosts a brunch and every thing was fine until pesky Willa Jean made trouble. In another chapter, Ramona goes to her friend's house and causes problems there. Ramona even went to school in her pajamas! It was hilarious!

Opinion:
This is one book that would give you a few good laughs. I liked this book because it was dramatic. From beginning to end, it's the most hilarious book I've ever read! Ramona was a lot like me and it was a terrific book for me to review. I think 7-11 year old girls and boys would like it, because Beatrice is 11 years-old, and Ramona is 7 and her best friend Howie is a boy. I read this book in five days and had no trouble reading it. Even the vocabulary was stress-free!

My Rating:
Out of a possible 5 Stars = Stars! It was THAT great!

Recommended for children ages 9-12
