Oral Glucose Tolerance Test
Women with gestational diabetes are diagnosed using a modified Oral Glucose Tolerance Test. To begin, a beverage containing 100 grams glucose is consumed. Blood is drawn every hour for 3 hours.
Gestational diabetes is diagnosed if two or more plasma glucose levels equal or exceed these plasma glucose levels:
