A group of my friends wanted to give our friend Kathy a personalized baby shower. We wanted to do a baseball theme because she loves the sport, but we could not find any party supplies for a baby shower. We ended up making everything from scratch.
For centerpieces we took baseballs and put them in baseball gloves and wrapped them in light pink and light blue cellophane. Then we tied blue and pink helium balloons to each centerpiece.
For the favors we bought small white paper bags and stamped a blue and pink baseball on the front. We filled them with Fiddle Faddle and then tied them up with pink and blue ribbon. We also made pink and blue pendant magnets for each guest to take with them.
We had the cake made with a ball and bat on the front in the colors of pink and blue and we had "Congratulations Kathy, You're in the Home Stretch" on it.
For games we played our own version of Baseball. We set up just like we would play baseball but instead of actually playing with a ball, we asked questions such as "what is the baby's room theme." The person "up to bat" must answer the question before the team in the outfield. If they answer first then they go to first base, but if the team in the outfield answers first then they are out. The game continues on with the next player. It was a lot of fun.
We also made a banner to hang over the door that said "Welcome to Baby Colling Stadium." We set up the food table and drinks like a concession stand! It was so much fun. We had a great time coming up with this idea!
