Bottle Feeding
How do you wash your bottles?
~ a message board archive

From DomsMom ~ How do you wash your bottles? I've been using a bottle brush by hand or the dishwasher but I was wondering if there was a quicker way. Thanks.

From MaryB23 ~ I usually use the bottle brush. I sometimes use the dishwasher, but usually have to wash bottles (we have 6) more often than I run the dishwasher, since there are only two people who use real dishes. I don't always fill the sink with water, though. I sometimes just put a drop of soap in each bottle and nipple and wash each individually.

From s-in-va ~ I soak them in a basin in the sink with HOT water and soap. Then I clean them with a bottle and nipple brush. I wash the caps first, the bottles, and then the nipples last so they get a longer time to soak.

From ukmum ~ I use hot soapy water and a bottle brush then sterilise in a steam steriliser.

From J&H Mom ~ Dishwasher all the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have done so with all three of my kids and they have been fine.

From Karilynn ~ I use HOT soapy water and a bottle brush.

From Thumper! ~ We use the dishwasher, which gets hot enough to sterilize the bottles every time. I know that isn't necessary any more, but it's a nice perk! We bought extra bottles so we don't have to wash every day but we do end up washing every day 99% of the time.

From MamaJAM ~ I use a bottle brush with warm, soapy water then rinse in the hottest water my hands can stand.

From PattiS ~ I use hot soapy water and a bottle brush. Wish I had a dishwasher! You people are lucky who have one!!!

From KMSF ~ Most often I use the dishwasher and then boil the nipples afterwards. If I don't have a full load for the dishwasher I hand wash them with a bottle brush.

From PurpleDog ~ For those of you who use the dishwasher . . . Do you put your bottles on the top shelf or bottom shelf? I use Dr. Brown's bottles which have the two extra parts. Do you any of you use these bottles? If so, where do you put those parts?

From metta4 ~ I use the dishwasher. I use Dr. Brown bottles. I put the bottles and bottle caps in the top rack and then bought 2 of those plastic crate type things that go on the top rack of the dishwasher to put small bottle pieces in. SO that is where I put the nipples and the other pieces.
