Personal Stories ~ From Lynn C.
I first found StorkNet through a friend of mine when I was just a couple of months pregnant with my twins. It was so wonderful to have a group of women to share my experiences with, both good and bad.

My twins are 21 months old now. They were born at 35 weeks. Bennett Clarke weighed 5 lbs. 1 oz. and Jocelyn Noelle weighed 3 lbs. 15 oz. at birth. Both were put on oxygen immediately (just a tent, not tubed) and were breathing room air within hours of birth.

It was quite scary the first time we saw them after the delivery room, both had IV's and lots of monitor wires taped to them and they were so small!! But once I was able to hold them, and got used to what each sound was, it was less frightening.

We were very lucky. Both babies were able to feed well both from the breast and bottle and although they stayed in the NICU for five days, we had no problems at all.

The nurses were wonderful and patient with us asking millions of questions. We were first told they would stay at least a week, but on the fifth day after their birth, the neo-natal specialist sent them home.

We are due in November with our third baby and couldn't be happier!
