Frequency of Intercourse When TTC

Q. I saw that you recommended to someone that they only have intercourse every other day when trying to conceive. What is the reason for this? I read that you can have intercourse everyday as long as dad has a normal sperm count, and you should only have sex every other day if his count is low. What about having intercourse more than once a day?
A. It takes 48 hours for dad to get his sperm count back to normal after intercourse. Even a "manly man" needs a 24 hour break to get the little swimmers into the best possible shape! SO, intercourse every 48 hours, MAX!!
