Preconception

Conceiving After Birth Control Pills
By Barbara Parker, RN, ARNP, CNM
Q. I recently went off the pill after being on it for about 15 years. I've heard that you should wait three months before trying to conceive. Are there any health risks to the baby if you get pregnant the first month?

A. It's an old wives tale that you have to wait. There's no problem if you get pregnant right away! Good luck.
