Hair Color During Pregnancy
By Barbara Parker, RN, ARNP, CNM

Q. Without color, I would be TOTALLY gray, so I can't imagine letting it go for nine months. What is the real chance of hurting the baby when coloring? Is it in the fumes or the dye touching your head? Has there ever been a case of a baby hurt by doing it?

A. It's perfectly fine, after the 12th week, according to all experts.
