Fetal Movement
by Nancy Sullivan, CNM, MS, FACNM

Nancy SullivanQ. I'm 18 weeks pregnant, and I can't feel my baby move at all. Should I be worried?

A. Not at all; the average time to feel the baby move is 20 weeks; you just aren't quite there yet. First-time moms frequently don't feel their babies as soon as experienced moms who know what they are waiting for, and heavier moms sometimes have to wait a little longer.

So hang in there; you'll feel your baby move soon!
