Stretch Mark Cream Recipe
Janice Cox, author of Natural Beauty at Home, explains,
I used this cream during and after my pregnancies to avoid stretch marks. Rub a small amount onto your stomach to keep the skin soft and pliable. You can also use it when dieting and losing weight. Stretch marks cannot be removed, but some will fade over time! I would suggest using this rich cream daily; it may seem a bit oily at first, but it is easily absorbed into your skin.
Stretch Mark Cream:
- 1/4 cup cocoa butter
- 1 T wheat germ oil
- 1 tsp apricot kernal oil
- 1 tsp vitamin E oil
- 2 tsp grated beeswax
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Mix together all ingredients except the vanilla extract. Heat the mixture gently until the cocoa butter and beeswax have melted; stir well. Remove from the heat and sstir in the vanilla extract, if desired. Allow to cool completely. Store in a clean jar with a tight-fitting lid. Massage into your skin.
yield: 3 ounces
