. From lil'bird . . . Does anyone have some advice on a good baby swing? I have been told open top is best but does anyone recommend a specific brand?
. From Book_Work ~ We have a Graco battery-operated swing. Boo just turned a year old. He was in the swing MAYBE 3 times. Total waste of space and money.
. From Moppel ~ Fisher Price Ocean wonders aquarium cradle swing!! The best thing ever!!! I can't say enough good things about it, and nothing bad.
IMO, open top is not so important, but battery operated is a must! I had a regular swing first, and it was a pain to wind it up every ten minutes, not to mention it woke up baby every time.
Plus, the Fisher Price is much more comfy for baby, and it has a higher weight limit, so you can use it longer. That's just some of the very many plus points for this swing.
. From cutienibbler ~ I have Simones old Graco swing. It's a wind up and not battery operated; I chose this option, did not want a battery operated. Lauren loves the swing, I only have to wind it every 30 minutes and it's quiet.
. From Kim P ~ I have the Fisher Price Ocean Wonders Aquarium Swing. WE LOVE IT! It's battery operated. Jack is 6 months and it's still on its first set of batteries! Granted, he barely fits anymore, but he loves it. Open top is not that important. I have never had a problem getting him in and out.
. From lizamac ~ CRADLE SWING by fisher price - any version, the duckies or the aquarium, doesn't matter, but that cradle motion is KEY!!!!!! I buy them for good freinds and family having babies as gifts because I KNOW they will love it. A friend borrowed ours for her 1st baby and just bought their own for their 2nd because they loved it so much.
I swear our cradle swing is the only reason DH and I had ANY time alone together during those first few months!! BTW - she was able to use it till she was upwards of a year old.
. From Pekoe's Pal ~ We vote Fisher Price Ocean Wonders Aquarium Swing. It has saved Mommy's sanity MANY times!
. From Taela ~ We have a JMason OpenAire 3 speed swing. It was a gift, so I don't know the cost. However, I'm not very impressed with it. The motor burned out after less than 2 months of use. They did send us a new one (that took 2 weeks to get here), but the new motor isn't very good, either. There doesn't seem to be a lot of difference between the speeds. I haven't seen any other swings, so I don't know if that's common. We will probably get a different swing for our next baby. (Whenever that is.)
