Dr. Bloom is the director of neonatology at Columbia Wesley Medical Center and the professor of pediatrics at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita, Kansas. He is also on the Scientific Advisory Committee of the Triplet Connection, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors for Hunter Health Clinic and Core Team Leader for the Columbia/HCA Neonatology Network. His research focus has been the use of surfactant in premature infants.
