Ann F. Grauer, LCCE, CD (DONA), ICCE, PCD (DONA)
President of DONA International

Ann Grauer, president of DONA International, has dedicated her career to working and volunteering in the doula community, emerging as a globally recognized doula expert. DONA International is the world's oldest and largest doula association.

In addition to her DONA responsibilities, Ann is a leading consultant on implementing hospital and community-based birth and postpartum doula programs.

She designed and implemented New England's first postpartum doula initiative, Hearts and Hands Doula Service, in Western Massachusetts and established Kaiser Permanente Health System's postpartum doula program.

She currently is the Parent Educator and Coordinator of the Doula Program at the Birth Place in Milwaukee, WI. Previously Ann privately practiced as a birth and postpartum doula. She has served as a parent and childhood educator in both Wisconsin and Massachusetts, teaching about such topics as healthy pregnancy and newborn care to infant massage and breastfeeding.

Ann is a charter member of DONA International and a member of International Childbirth Education Association, International Loving Touch Foundation and Lamaze International. She has formerly served as a peer facilitator and steering committee member for Mothers Center of Milwaukee and has authored articles in both The International Doula and The International Journal of Childbirth Education.

She is a sought-after speaker, delivering lectures before audiences at Lamaze International's Conference, the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, DONA International's International Conference, Partners in Perinatal Health's Annual Conference, and La Leche League of Wisconsin's State Conference.
