Between Pregnancies

After pregnancy, the demands of parenting can make it hard to take care of yourself. Your body needs to rest and recover from pregnancy, as well as meet the challenge of caring for a newborn baby! Remember, you will have more energy to parent if you take care of yourself. Be sure and keep your own medical care appointments, eat a healthy diet and find time for some physical activity on a regular basis.

If you plan on having more pregnancies, discuss optimum pregnancy timing with your doctor. Allowing your body to recover from one pregnancy before becoming pregnant again can help you have another healthy outcome. This is especially true for women who have had a complicated pregnancy, are very young, or who already have had several children in close succession.

Not all exercises or diets are suitable for everyone. Before you begin this program, you should have permission from your doctor to participate in vigorous exercise and change of diet.
