Week 18
~ Stomach Virus

Hey all, sorry for the late post. Late last week, I got hit with what felt like was going to be a summer cold. I had a scratchy throat, stuffy nose and was sneezing and coughing a good bit. Called the doctor, they called in some antibiotics and something for the congestion. I felt like I had been ran over by a freight train by Friday afternoon and spent most of last weekend in the bed.

Then Saturday night, I got really sick. I apparently had caught a stomach bug of some kind, I tried to stay home, but by Monday morning I knew something was bad bad wrong. I called the doctor and she told me to come in first thing Monday morning. I did and while I felt like I was about to die, baby was doing ok. She told me I was starting to get extremely dehydrated and admitted me to the hospital for IV fluids. We went across the street to the hospital (this was suppose to be a direct admit) and after nearly 2 hours of waiting and a call to my doctor, they finally got me in and I waited yet another hour for my IV and medication to kinda slow down the nausea and vomiting. Anyways, I spent all afternoon Monday and night through yesterday about mid day when I finally got out and home.

Other than this, not a lot is going on with me or the baby. We go next week for another ultrasound and hopefully find out what little hoodini is. I'm getting excited about it, even though I am still trying to get back to normal.

Until then, have a good week!
