Angela's Pregnancy Journal

Week 15
~ Flutterings

This week has been quite quiet on the pregnancy front and there isn't a lot to report. Last week, I thought I felt baby move, but dismissed it for thinking that it couldn't possibly be at only 14 weeks. But this week, I have felt lots of movement - only really subtle though. It could just be that I know what it feels like and what to expect this time around and could therefore identify it a lot earlier. It could easily be dismissed as gas or something, but I know for sure that it is the quickening this time around. It feels pretty amazing to realise that it is the baby moving inside of me and that the movements are going to get a lot stronger in the coming weeks. It is a great reassurance to be able to feel baby at last and is a gentle reminder that he or she is in there. At times, I forget I am pregnant and I feel totally normal and fine. If it wasn't for my belly sticking out now, I would probably still be in denial.

I have been feeling a lot better and haven't experienced any morning sickness for some weeks now. And that is such a great relief. The week has brought back my hacking cough that I don't seem to be able to budge, but at least that is also something that will go in time and with the warmer weather coming on, it's looking even more promising. Having a constant cough for four months really isn't my idea of fun. To make it all worse, the whole family is in the same situation and we've all been on antibiotics to get rid of it but making very little difference.

Well, that is about it for this week. The sun has been shining and at long last we can all get out and enjoy it. It has been warm enough to ditch the sweaters and dig out the sunhats. Summer is going to be great and I can't wait to get out and enjoy it. Catch you all next week.
