Thankfully, I have no exciting birth story to tell. After months of thinking I would go into early labor, I had her right on schedule.
On the morning of the 15th, I couldn't sleep at all. I was so anxious about the c-section and finally being able to meet my little one. I got up at about 3am and had my shower. We left the house at 4am to be at the hospital by 5am. I was prepped for surgery. It was actually nice being able to experience everything without being in a rush like we were with my daughter who was born by emergency c-section.
I was taken into the operating room at 7am and my second little princess (Lauren Kelly) was born at 7:31am. She was 21" and weighed 6.13 pounds. I had thought she would be a huge baby, being I was so large, but she is my petite princess. I am so happy to finally have the child I have longed for. She is perfect.
We are still trying to adjust to being up every 2-3 hours at night, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. My older daughter has done very well with her little sister. I had thought that she would be jealous, but instead she is overprotective of her.
I feel so complete now. Life is wonderful, I couldn't ask for more!
