Last weekend I began thinking to my paranoid self, what if when I get the sonogram done, they find something wrong with the baby? If so, I really wouldn't want sad news on my birthday. So, I changed the appointment to this week. My husband and I anxiously awaited our appointment, sitting in the office for over two hours. Finally, they called us in.
After measurements of every possible body part they told us that all looked perfect. I was amazed in the change in technology just in the last five years. They were able to measure the baby's kidneys, intestines, etc. The best part of the sonogram . . . we found out that we are having another little girl. Our lives for a few more years will be filled with baby dolls and tea parties.
I am starting to feel much more pregnant these days. I can't imagine four more months of a growing belly. I have still been experiencing the Braxton hicks contractions, but I suppose that is normal. My energy level has gone up considerably this week. It is nice to finally have energy to do things besides sit on the couch and feel miserable.
I am hoping the next few weeks to come will continue to be as great as this one. Only 21 weeks to go!!!
