Well, I have made it half way through. It still seems like such a long time until the little one gets here. I had a doctor's appointment this week and he said all looks good. At the appointment we received results from a chromosome test that we had done. They call they type of test we did Integrated Screen. It is supposedly a new way to test for Down Syndrome, Open Neural Tube Defects, and Trisomy 18. The doctor recommended it because of the three previous miscarriages. With this test a sonogram and blood work are done at around 11 weeks. Then, additional blood work is done between 16-18 weeks. When the results come back, you get a percentage of chance that you will have a baby with a chromosome abnormality. Thankfully, all of the results were negative. This is wonderful news; however I would not have done anything had they found something abnormal. It is at least reassuring.
We are having trouble deciding on a name for this little girl. My husband and I can't seem to agree on anything. We have a few more months to decide. I am thinking of the name Macy, which was my grandmother's name, but I am not set on it. The baby continues to do summersaults in my tummy. I can feel her move more and more every day. I am going to enjoy these times while the kicks are still pleasant. I know the pain those kicks eventually cause as she continues to grow.
This has been another pleasant week. Only 20 weeks to go!
