Week 23
~ Everything is Great

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are all having an excellent day. I am doing good. The baby is growing and getting bigger. People are actually starting to ask me how far along I am. That is always a good sign for me. It makes me feel better about my constant weight gain and tells me that people can tell that I am pregnant. I like my growing belly; I think it's cute. I just don't like the scale constantly adding pounds when I stand on it. I have gained about 15 pounds so far which is just more than I'm comfortable with by this point of my pregnancy. A couple of weeks ago someone at church asked me if I was pregnant or did I just have a baby. I smiled, and said that I was pregnant, but I was a little frustrated. I have gained the most weight with this little girl and am very self conscience about it. I try to exercise, but I have been so tired lately. When I say exercise I mean, speed walking. I enjoy going and feel great when I do. Sometimes it is just hard to push myself out the door, or I'll just get busy.

Anyhow, my baby girl has been doing great. I love to touch my stomach and feel her move. Sometimes I get to play with her and I'll push where she just kicked or try to get her to kick where I put my hand. I love this part of pregnancy. My son Dominic really loves his baby sister and isn't waiting till she is born to interact with her. He talks to her; it is so sweet when he does that. You can tell that he is excited for her to make her appearance. This morning he said, 'Good morning baby sister, I love you.' Then he kissed my tummy. The moment was priceless.

My husband has bought a ton of baby lotions, creams, and powders this week. He even bought newborn diapers. I just had to open the package; they are so cute and tiny. My youngest son Quinton wanted one, so I put one on his teddy bear that he got for Easter. He wanted me to put it on him, but as little as he still is, his cute little butt is too big for those newborn diapers. I explained that to him the best I could. However, you can only explain so much to a 2 year old. I had to put the diapers out of sight.

The other day Quinton was going potty for me in the toilet for awhile. I even forgot to put a diaper back on him after he went potty in the toilet when we were at my older children's homeschool classes. But, he stayed dry, Yeah! I think I am going to buy training underwear with those little plastic pants to go over them. I have a feeling he will do even better if he feels like he is wearing real underwear. I am hoping he won't be in diapers anymore during the day by the time his sister is born. But, if that doesn't happen it will be just fine. I have learned never to push potty training; It comes when it comes. Although, I do believe it will come soon for Quinton.

The snow is finally gone. I am very excited about that. We had some rainy days and some hail, however no snow. Hip Hip Hooray! Now, my kids can start that garden they have been planning. My daughter Katie has been taking a gardening class on Wednesdays. She has really enjoyed it, so I am having her map it out on paper. We are going to follow her diagram when we actually plant the vegetables. We all like to have a garden and haven't had one for a couple of years. The only part we don't like is the weeding. Oh well, if it was to easy it wouldn't be as rewarding.

That's about it for this week. I hope you all have a great day.
