Week 27
~ She's Moving All Over the Place

Hello Everyone,

I hope everyone is doing fabulous. I have been good. I participated in Bloomsday, it is a 7 1/2 mile race/fun run they have in Eastern Washington every year. I walked it, I tried to jog part of it for awhile, but I always felt like I had to use the bathroom. Baby bouncing on my bladder, I guess. She seemed to enjoy the walking; it lulled her to sleep. She was so calm the whole time. I was tired but it was so good for me to finish what I have been practicing for. My oldest daughter asked me if I wanted to walk a 13 mile race/fun run they hold in the Seattle area in the end of June. I would really like to do something like that next year, but this year I think I'll pass. Bloomsday wore me out enough. I will continue to walk though. It always makes me feel good; tired but good.

I have been waking up in the middle of the night lately because of cramps in my calves. I always get them when I'm pregnant. Lately they have been getting worse. It never fails, sometimes I wake up crying because they hurt so much. I try to rub the pain out and go back to sleep. Usually it works. I did have a little pamper myself party though. It's not something I do for myself often, but it was soooooo relaxing. I put all my kids to bed early on a friday night. I even made my teenagers stay in their room. They watched a movie on the portable dvd player. I soaked my feet in my foot spa and gave myself a pedicure. I painted my toe nails lavender. Then I painted my finger nails and gave myself a french manicure. It was so wonderful, and I felt so much better. My sister stopped by and we visited while she did her homework. I was very relaxed by the end of the night and fell asleep on the sofa.

My little girl is doing good. She likes to move all over the place as long as no one else is trying to feel her. It is so funny. My husband will put his hand above where she is moving and she just stops. Sometimes they can feel her, but it's always a kick or a single movement; never the constant turns and kicks that I feel. Sometimes, they will watch my stomach and be able to see her move around. It is so awesome. Right now, while I am typing this she is moving all around. I can feel her bouncing around like Tigger, she it literally bouncing around from one side to the next and up and down. This is one of my favorite parts of being pregnant.

It is so amazing how fast this pregnancy is going. I am almost done with my second trimester. I know she is getting big. Sometimes she tries to stretch out. I can feel her way down high and low at the same time. It is such a wonderful experience to be able to feel her so much. I know the rest of the pregnancy will continue to go by fast, but I cherish all the experiences. I am so glad I am writing this journal for storknet because it helps me keep a written account of all the most important parts of this pregnancy. I love this sweet little angel that God has blessed me with.

Well, I will talk to you all again soon. Have a great day everyone and smile.

Until next time,
~ Barbara
