Week 16
First Movement!

Hello Everyone,

I hope you all have been having a great week. My exciting announcement this week is that I felt the baby turn. It was really awesome, but so far it was a single event. I was laying in bed working on schoolwork. I had my laptop up kind of on my lap and I was leaning back propped up on pillows and then I just felt the baby turn. It felt like the baby just turned from side to side or something. I was very excited. I told my husband and he got excited as well. I am looking forward to the next few weeks because then I should start feeling all kinds of little kicks and talented acrobatic moves.

Lately we have been trying to help my teenagers get ready for the mission's trip they will be taking to Mexico. Their departure date is just under three weeks, so I know it will come really fast. I am really excited for them to have this opportunity. They will be going with a group from our church; it is a mix of high school students and adults. They still have a little fundraising to do, but they will do just fine. My oldest went on a mission's trip to Dominican Republic when she was 17. I was very pregnant with Alainna at the time. When we picked her up from the airport she was just glowing. She really enjoyed meeting the people and helping contribute and make a difference and although the work was physically very challenging, it was definitely a life changing experience. There is no doubt in my mind that both Katie and Jacob will be have an equally amazing experience as they embark on this short journey in a few weeks.

Besides all that, finals week is here. I am VERY EXCITED to be done for awhile. I have recently decided to take a break after this quarter and get things taken care of around my house, odds and ends, things that I have been putting off and all that kind of stuff. It will be really nice to be able to have less on my plate and I am hoping the younger kids and I can fit in some really great field trips and other academic adventures now that I will have a little more time to devote to their studies. I had originally planned on going spring quarter. I have also been contemplating taking my transcript and sending it to an online university that is all completely accredited. I still wouldn't want to continue my education right away, but at least then I would have a game plan and I would be able to do the majority of my studies at home. I usually do really well with online classes, so that shouldn't be a challenge for me (too much). Then again, I don't know how much things will change after this little one is born. I am a little nervous about doing school with another child to care for. It truly can be very challenging at times. And it is so hard to split my time up so much. My GPA is very important to me, so I hate when my grades fall even the slightest.

Well it is getting late for me, it is pushing 2am here and I have to get up early. On that note, I am going to call it a night. I hope you all have a wonderful. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my journal entry.

Until next time,
