Week 23
~ A Hot One!

This week has been wonderful! Cain and I are getting all settled in our new house. I have hung all the pictures and found a place for everything. It was extremely tiring but a lot of fun! Cain has been out in our yard mowing, trimming the bushes, and getting our pool ready. I have to say it brings a smile to my face seeing him out there working. I love to sit by the pool while he is running around. I told him that if I was going to have a pool boy he better be shirtless. He took off his shirt and forgot to put on sunscreen, so the poor thing ended up looking like a lobster. It looks like I won't have my pool boy for a little while. I think Cain secretly enjoys having these responsibilities. I guess it makes both of us feel like we are actually starting a family.

My favorite part of the house is Aidan's room. I know I had said in my previous post we were going to do an aviation theme, but once we saw the bedding in person neither one of us liked it. We decided to go with the "Ahoy Matey" bedding. It is basically sailboats, whales, palm trees with monkeys and parrots. We got the matching lamp, some monkey pictures, etc. I think it is going to be really cute! We have also bought the crib, changing table, car seat, and stroller. It feels so good to see his nursery coming together.

I am happy Spring is finally here! I think that we have skipped Spring and gone straight into Summer. It went from being 50 degrees one day to 90 degrees the next. I am finally getting a taste of what being pregnant in the Summer feels like, and I am not a fan. I am sweating in places I didn't know you could sweat in. I love to lie out in the sun and get a tan, but I am thinking the air conditioning is going to win this fight. Once we get our pool up and running maybe I can just lie on a raft in it. That might just be the best of both worlds! We will see; I will keep ya'll posted!
