I am so excited my life has finally seemed to settle and I can start paying more attention to my week by week. I will be 30 weeks tomorrow but, I went to the OB yesterday for my 30 week appointment and she said the baby was head down and in position. The doctor didn't seem concerned but I am haha. I have been feeling really sharp pains on my left pelvic bone when she moves and now I figure it's her shoulder which is why it hurts so bad. Other than the baby being "way down" as the doctor said everything else was perfect. I haven't gained much weight at all during my pregnancy so when they said I gained a pound yesterday I was kinda shocked. I know the baby is growing rapidly but I am hoping I don't start packing on a pound a week for the next ten weeks lol.
As you know I have Cerebral Palsy and have been using a wheelchair and walker to get around rather than my crutches. We cut out the walker after last week too. On Wednesday, I was in Jersey for the week, Ben and I were going to my grandparents' house and as I was walking to the car the walker tipped forward and I fell on top of it, sorta on my side/stomach. I didn't want to rush to the ER because I misplaced my secondary insurance card and I didn't want to be stuck with a huge hospital bill so we went to my grandparents' and ate dinner and enjoyed company. It took the baby about 3 hours to start moving regularly, but that had happened last time I fell too. I think the impact scares her and she waits to make sure the "earthquake" is over before moving lol. I decided after falling that I wasn't using the walker outside anymore. On Friday Ben worked 9-5 and then he took me out to dinner and a movie. I was in my chair the whole time. We had about an hour and a half wait between finishing our meal and seeing the movie so we went to Barnes and Noble for Chai Tea! I had to use the bathroom and I had never done so in a wheelchair without my mom or my sisters so doing the whole thing on my own was quite an experience. I never really imagined that people bound to wheelchairs do these things everyday, makes me thankful I am as mobile as I am.
The ride home on Saturday wasn't so bad. I didn't get sick thank goodness but I did get really queasy in the last ten minutes of the trip. My best friend called on the way home and told me she wanted to take me out to dinner. As soon as I walked in the door, the power came back on. I was ecstatic! Ashley and I had a good time out. Our wait at the Cheese Cake Factory was about two hours so we went and walked around the mall. We ran into an old friend in one of the baby stores and talked to her for awhile. We didn't wind up eating until 8:00 so we didnt get home til about 12. I was exhausted.
We only have one working bathroom right now which is the one in my bedroom so I was woken up early early for the last three days. Luckily the plumber is coming today! My mom is driving to New Jersey tomorrow to pick up my great-grandma. She is staying with me while my mom and step-father go to the DR for the week. I am excited to spend some time with he; I haven't really seen her since my pop passed away in May.
Well my back hurts from sitting here I am gunna go lay on the couch for awhile.
