My name is Carrie and I have been happily married for almost eight years. My husband Tim and I married in Vegas of 2000 and can't believe we have been together for so long. It seems like yesterday we met and started dating. Where does the time go?
Together my husband and I have a wonderful son named Tyler who just tuned seven this month. He is just like his daddy. He loves sports and knows pretty much everything a seven year old can about sports. Tim is a great father and shows Tyler each and every day. I am so proud of him.
Our family is very close and we do a lot of fun stuff together. Mostly we enjoy sports and outside activities ranging from going to Tiger Baseball Games to watching College and NFL football to fishing and camping. We are a very active family. My husband and I both play summer slow pitch softball while our son Tyler loves to play summer baseball.
We also have two dogs - a Lab Mix named Travis and a Boxer-Lab Mix named Coby. Travis was adopted from the Humane Society while Coby was adopted from a not so nice home. Our two dogs are part of our family. They are great. They love us and we love them very much.
We live in a semi-small town where pretty much everyone knows who everyone is - which is nice. We did try to move to a bigger city last year but it just wasn't for us so we returned to our small town. We love it and probably will live in a small town the rest of our lives. This is where we will raise our children.
Tim and I hadn't decided if we wanted to have another child or not but this past June we decided to give it one more try. We didn't become pregnant until October. We were ecstatic and Tyler was very happy to know he was going to be a big brother. I went to my first doctor appointment around 8 weeks and everything looked fine. Then just this past month, on my January 8th appointment - which was my 12 week appointment- we had our first ultrasound. How exciting! We were so excited to finally get to see the baby and hear the heartbeat. Well come to our astonishment - the ultrasound technician asked us "How we felt about having twins." We were excited, happy, thrilled, shocked, etc. We knew that twins ran in both sides of the family however; we never thought we would be having twins!
We are excited about our journey and we would like to share it with everyone. We just pray we can make it through the pregnancy without complications and deliver two happy - healthy babies and make it as close to our due date as possible - July 19th! I will be posting weekly updates for everyone to read.
