Hello everyone - I have made it to week 30 - it has seemed like an eternity. Not that much longer and my babies will have arrived.
Last Wednesday when I went in for my NST (non-stress test) I was having mild and few contractions once again. Nothing to be overly concerned about - but the doctor informed me I need to take it easy and relax! Not to over do it so Caylee and Cayden can stay in my belly as long as possible! The babies heart beats were good - everything is good other than the fact that I contract every once in a while.
So at my 30 week appointment last Friday - my doctor informed me that he does not want me to work past week 32. So that means my last day of work is the 23rd of May. Less than two weeks away! Crazy. I am not one to stay home and do nothing but I guess I have to do what I have to do in order to prolong my pregnancy. Don't get me wrong - I think I actually might enjoy it - but I am sure there are going to be days that I get extremely bored. It will be nice not driving an hour and a half to and from work on a daily basis. Riding in the car has become uncomfortable and unpleasant. Now that I know when my maternity leave is going to begin - I am counting down the days until the 23rd. I am looking forward to relaxing for a while before Caylee and Cayden arrive. I need to catch up on some well needed rest - I sure don't get much nowadays. I sleep maybe and hour or two at a time then I am up. I guess that is life's way of preparing me for our babies!
This week my husband's summer softball league starts. He has his first game tonight. It will be nice and relaxing to sit in my lawn chair and watch him play. I love summer time. I just am bummed that I can't play softball - maybe I will be able to play a couple of games towards the end of the summer. That is my goal anyways!
This week at work, they are throwing me a baby shower - that will be fun and exciting! Then this weekend my mom and sisters are giving me a shower. Having showers and getting all the fun stuff for the babies - makes things seemed more realistic and not that far away! I am excited! I think I am going to have to invest in another dresser or something. The baby clothes are starting to accumulate! It's so much fun!
Well other than that - things have been going great. Looking forward to all the events this week. Check back next week for another update.
