My week 35 exam with the doctor went fine. No dilation, which is normal at this point. Blood pressure great and baby girl is still growing perfectly. And, a nice little surprise that I didn't gain another 5 pounds between appointments, just a 2lb gain, yay! I felt a little reassured that there were no signs of labor so I feel a little bit better about getting my to-do list checked off in the next few weeks.
This past weekend was Easter and we ended up having a nice day but we did run into a couple of issues. The biggest downside was that Natalie caught a stomach bug and had vomiting/diarrhea off and on for about three days. Her mood and spirits were always still up, but the poor thing has been on a liquid diet for almost a week now. She's finally now turning the corner and back at preschool and luckily no one else in the house has caught the bug so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I can't think of anything as bad as being pregnant and having the flu.
I also had a horrible bloody nose on Easter Sunday morning. I had the same issue when I was pregnant with Ryan and I was hoping to escape it with this pregnancy but no such luck. I went into the bathroom to blow my nose (which I do frequently these days with the whole stuffy nose pregnancy thing), and my nose just started pouring out blood. I think I was in the bathroom for at least 15 to 20 minutes while it just bled and bled. Ryan was totally freaked out. My husband was trying to help me and he'd seen this before with Ryan's pregnancy so he was pretty calm. But after about 15 minutes I started to get panicky too. It finally did clot and didn't return but it kind of wore me out and started the day off kind of crummy.
The bunny did come to our house though and Ryan hunted eggs and had a great time. We went to my mom's for dinner and had a nice time getting together with the family.
We finally have gotten some nice spring weather so we're taking full advantage of evening walks at the park. It feels really good to get moving again, I was so ready for spring! As I was putting away all our Easter decorations this past weekend my husband was making fun of all the Easter baskets I was keeping for next year. I told him that next Easter we'll have a little one year old hunting eggs so we needed to hang on to a few extras, it's so exciting to think about our new little addition arriving so very soon . . .
