It seems only yesterday that I found out we were expecting our second child and now here we are rapidly approaching November. November is a crazy month for us. Our anniversary, both of our birthdays are in November and then we have Thanksgiving. It also is a huge month for the Marine Corps. The USMC birthday is on November 10th and the month is full of ceremonies and balls. I haven't decided if I will be attending the ball this year. Do they make a formal gown that can handle my rapidly growing linebacker? I guess I should look just in case. So if October managed to slip away so quickly November will certainly move in warp speed.
I had an appointment this week with the fetal specialist. Despite the wonderful results of the amniocentesis they still had not cleared the heart. I had to have another ultrasound to make sure there were no issues. Well my son managed to cooperate and the heart looks perfect, he looks perfect, so big and strong. I can't begin to express to you how it feels to know he is okay. We are so very blessed. I am sure I won't stop worrying until I hold him in my arms. Actually, who am I kidding? As all of us that have other children know and those that are becoming first time moms will soon realize the worrying NEVER stops. I was able to get a nice profile shot of my little boy which I couldn't help but share. He is growing fast; he was measuring about 3 days ahead of his age before. Now he is over a week in most measurements. It looks like he is going to be just like his big sister. I don't think we have had a wellness appointment where Trysta hasn't measured above the 90 percentile. My husband jokes that by 12 the two of them will be high fiving above short mommy's head. My husband is 6'4" and I am 5'4". Trysta certainly got her height from him. It looks like my son is on the way to join them. It is okay; I will have three people to get things down off the high shelves for me.
I have my routine monthly appointment next Wednesday and they mentioned last month they should have my C-section date for me. I really didn't want to have a C-section but I have to admit it makes planning so much easier. She told me they would schedule at 38 weeks so I am figuring sometime the week of February 9th, but I will hopefully know for sure next week. We finally managed to pick out furniture for Trysta and we have been slowly putting Trysta's new room together. I am very eager to start on the nursery. It will be February before we know it. I hope everyone has a great week.
