Week 18 ~ January 30, 2002
~ Boy or Girl~Girl or Boy
Well, we had our 18 week ultrasound yesterday, and the Survey Says . . . we are having another BOY!!! We were surprised that we were actually early for the appointment and were taken right back. When we were asked if we wanted to know the sex, we told her yes!
She had just started the ultrasound, and she says, "Well, it looks like a little boy to me!" I just looked at her and told her I thought so. Little Bit is averaging 5 days ahead of my dates with the EDD of June 25th. Nothing was changed since it was all within a week of the EDD and the scan at 7 weeks was right on by my ovulation dates.
Surprisingly he was resting for the most part. I had figured he would be jumping around as I had a large OJ with breakfast. He was hanging out and letting her get all the measurements pretty well until it was time to check out his stomach. That was when he decided to cross his arms over his face and draw his legs up. He looked so cute! As cute as a picture of an ultrasound can anyway!
I knew in my heart that it was a boy, but there was still that part of my heart being pulled on for a little girl. I'll admit it was a bit sad to know that I'll never have that mother-daughter relationship but it's getting better. I'm also realizing that even though the toilet lid will never be in the down position that I will have no reason for my yard not be mowed, my car washed and the trash taken out!! I've heard from a few who are married to the third son, and it's nothing but sweet things (thank you)! I'm actually hoping this little fellow will be a sweetie momma's boy!
The rest of the appointment went well. I've gained 7 lbs total so far. I can believe it because I'm so hungry all the time; my favorite thing to do is eat out!! My blood pressure was fine, heartbeat was at 138 bpm, and I'm starting to feel him more and more!
Now to begin the name game!
To all of you who have emailed me, Thank You! I'm reading all of your notes and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Things are crazy and busy right now.
Until next time . . .
