Week 23
~ Cold or Allergies?

I tell myself it's the latter so I can justify making myself get up each morning to go to work, but as the days drag on, I know that it's really a cold. Oh well, I've been down this road before, but it still stinks having a cold during the summer and while pregnant. I know it's my own fault because I completely overdid it this past weekend. I took Tanner and to our family lake house with my sister, my nephew, and my childhood friend and her son and we did nothing but play, play play. Imagine three 3-year old boys and you'll understand why I'm pooped. Believe me it was worth it to see how much those boys enjoyed it, but two days in a row without naps . . . YIKES. Anyway, I should've listened to my body (and my husband) but I'm too stubborn to give in and call in at work. So, here I am miserable and I have no one to blame but myself.

Not much going on this week, just getting bigger. I completely jinxed myself after my last doctor's appointment. I had only gained 1lb from my previous appointment (4 weeks prior) which in my twisted way of thinking allows me to give in to a few more of my cravings. Well, I'm terrified to go to the doctor next week and get on that scale. I swear I've gained 10 lbs in 3 weeks! I'm sure I'm exaggerating but I've got to pull the reins in the food department. Other than that, I feel pretty good in the baby growing department, lots of movement and no additional stretch marks have reared their ugly heads (yet). I still can't believe I'm over half way there and that the summer is almost over. Time is definitely going much quicker than when I was pregnant with Tanner . . . even started my Christmas shopping. Crazy I know, but keep in mind my "wonderful timing" due date!

I hope everyone has a good week!

God Bless,
~ Denise
