~ I'm Thinking Boy
As you can tell from my title, I'm thinking boy this week for this baby. As you know we chose not to find out the sex and even though it tortures the Grandmas, we like being surprised. But the closer I get the more I want to know! I know I shouldn't put all my eggs in one basket, but I just think I've convinced myself this one is a boy too. It didn't help that my doctor on Friday says "this sounds a little boyish today" while listening to the heartbeat. My mom just thinks that "she" was sleeping and her heart rate was slower. I think everyone on both sides of the family is hoping that we have a girl. I just hope that all goes fine and that the baby is healthy and normal (like all expecting parents). My appointment Friday was good, all my lab work/blood work was fine and my Docotor was happy with my blood pressure, swelling and weight. I just can't believe that I'm down to 9 1/2 weeks left. What's even more frightening is that means it's only 9 1/2 weeks until Christmas! Wow, time is REALLY flying.
We got Tanner's room finished and he loves it! I love it! It's definitely not a baby's room anymore. I'm happy with the fact that there is some sort of organization and I'm not stepping or tripping on toys anymore. We finished last Thursday and then headed south to pick up Tanner from Grandma/Grandpa's. We stayed most of the weekend and enjoyed lots of good food and beautiful weather. The funny thing is that even though he was only there for a week, he picked up a little southern drawl while there. I, of course, teased my Mother-in-law and asked "what did you do to my baby?" and she said she was just trying to get the boy to speak properly, ha ha! He had a blast with them and I know they really enjoyed the time with him too. I know that Dereck and I basked in the low key evenings and we were even able to watch a few movies without falling asleep! Tanner was a little stubborn yesterday, but I knew there would be some re-adjusting back to our routine. But I think he was happy to go back to daycare this morning. He was really excited to see a few of his buddies when we walked in. He was already trying to teach them "woo-pig-sooie" (which is the Arkansas Razorback call) before I left the room!
We didn't get the baby's room finished, but we at least started. Everything that we need is at least IN the room, just not set up or placed where I want it to be. But, I know we can do it over time. The main thing is that we don't have to repaint or anything time consuming like that. I still feel like there is a lot to do, but that's just my anal retentiveness showing through! Well, I think that's about it for now. Sorry this posting is late, just didn't have a minute before we left town.
So you'll be seeing two from me this week!
