Week 35
~ More Preparations!

EmilyI have been spending some of the last week trying to prepare for our little one's arrival. I'm afraid that I am not quite as prepared as I had hoped to be at this point. I suppose some of that is partly because, despite my efforts of trying to get rid of it, my cold keeps coming back. Every time I think I have it taken care of, there it is again. Who knows, maybe one of these times it might actually go away. It would be nice if that happened before baby time. One of the things I have been working on is getting all of my lists together of things to take to the Birthing Center with us. I think my list is fairly complete, and all I have to do now is actually pack my bags. I suppose it is possible that I am a little paranoid, but one of the lists that I decided to print off was a paper entitled "How to Deliver a Baby." I got to thinking about things, being December and all, and the fact that we do live in Idaho, a place that does have some snow, and it occurred to me that wouldn't it be just our luck to not make it because of some crazy snow storm. When I told Jeremy this, he laughed, but I think I detected a wee bit of nervousness in his voice. I'm sure we will be okay since we really do not live that far from the center, it just seems silly to go unprepared.

Our precious little one is still doing great. I would most definitely venture to say that our baby has dropped though. I have noticed an increased amount in trips to the bathroom. As if it was not bad enough already! I have also noticed it being more uncomfortable down there when baby moves, perhaps bordering on actually being painful. But, trying again to look on the bright side of things, it just means that we are getting close!

It appears that my belly button has also officially become an 'outie.' Isabelle and Michael are very fascinated by this. It is very funny to watch their expressions. Isabelle asked me if that was the baby's nose poking through. Michael just points and says "button." They are also quite interested in all of the stretch marks, which are plentiful! Isabelle thinks that they must hurt me, so she tries to be the 'doctor' and bandage me up. She's a sweetie!

I hope you have a wonderful week. Until next time . . .
