Week 26
~ The Dreaded Glucose Test

EmilyThis week's doctor visit brought with it the yummy glucose test. That's one drink that I'm not sharing with anyone. It's all mine. Actually, I suppose it wasn't too bad until I got down to the last couple of swallows. They were a little hard to finish up. I did end up having my test though and have not heard anything back saying there was any sort of problem. They say that no news is good news, so at my next appointment I will ask just how close I was or if I passed with flying colors. Ha! Ha! Speaking of appointments, I am now down to every other week for doctor visits. Yay! I like getting to this point since it really helps to make the time go by faster for me.

Our little one is still doing quite well. My doctor said that the heart rate was averaging 130-150 bpm. I must admit that with all of the questions about how big I was getting and all of the twin comments, I was having some second thoughts myself. I did ask my doctor again about how I am measuring, and she said that I am right where I was with Michael and weigh a little less right now than I did with him. That was very encouraging and something else to not stress about right now. My two younger sisters, who are 10 and 12 years younger than me, came with me to the appointment to help watch the kiddos this time. I figured that since the nurse would be drawing blood it might be nice to have a little help, just in case. My sisters had not yet had a chance to hear our little one's heartbeat, so it worked out well.

Well, this past week I'm afraid I pulled a muscle. Don't you hate it when you have those moments of wishing you could just rewind the tape and back up time for just a few minutes? Michael had pulled out one of our desk drawers onto his feet and legs, and it pretty much had him pinned down. I figured he was hurt much worse than he actually was too. Turns out he was just scared and couldn't get up. So, in my haste to quick get it off of him, I was in a really bad position and did not get myself squared up to it before lifting it. As soon as I lifted it, I definitely felt the pain and thought to myself, "Oh, no!" So needless to say, I have been a little more uncomfortable since then. It pulled on my right side right about where the round ligament pain is and then all the way down into the groin area in my leg. Nice! Certain positions do seem to make it worse, like sitting. Go figure. Luckily for me though, I don't do much sitting. Yeah, right! I have gone to our chiropractor and he did make some adjustments that did help for a little while, but I'm sure that I just need to give it time to heal, something that unfortunately is a bit slower while pregnant

Jeremy finally has some work, but I'm afraid it is out of town. They have been driving up on Monday, and not coming back until Friday. I really hate having him gone so long. He hates being gone so long too, but it's hard for us to complain since it is some much needed work. I really appreciate all he does for us so that I can stay home with our precious kiddos. He is very wonderful and I feel very blessed to be married to him. He is an awesome Daddy too!

I decided I should probably put a picture of me on here so you can see the progress.

I hope you have a wonderful week. Until next time . . .
