Our week did start off with a midwife appointment. Surprisingly enough, this is the first visit that Jeremy was not able to come to. It has been very nice having him there, but he did have work, which is also a good thing. I just figured I would go with all of the kiddos, but when one of my sisters heard I had an appointment, she offered to watch them for me. She is a good egg. As much fun as taking all of the kids by myself would have been, I decided to go ahead and take her up on her offer. Isabelle ended up going with me anyway though, so we were able to have some girl time.
The appointment went really well. The midwife told me that my iron levels were really good, so that was nice to hear. Also, when I brought up the round ligament pain, she did have some suggestions for how to find relief that will be nice to try. Baby's heart rate was in the 140s to 150s and was moving around lots during the appointment too. I did ask the midwife if she could feel around and tell me where baby was situated. After taking a couple of minutes to check, she did say that baby's head is down, and also told me where baby's back and feet were too. I am always amazed at how well they can tell all of that.
Titus has still been doing awesome with his potty training. He still has had very few accidents and he also has been coming to tell me when he has to go to the bathroom. I would have been very happy with just this alone, but he is now also going through the night dry too. I really am completely blown away by all the progress in just a couple of weeks time. I guess it just goes to show you cannot rush them before they are ready. It only causes undue stress on the parent and the child.
I had a chance this week to talk to my sister about watching the kiddos when baby shows up. She was very understanding about my need to have someone I feel that I can trust right now to watch the kids. It is a big relief to know that situation is handled. The plan right now is for it to just be Jeremy and me at the birth. Usually my mom and sisters have been there in the past. Some of the time it has been just because, and other times it has been to take pictures for us. At first I was a little bothered by not having everyone there, but the more time I have had to think about it, the more excited I am for it to just be Jeremy and me.
I hope you all have a great week!
