I had a great doctor visit this week! Everything is looking good so far (knock on wood). Even my iron level was in the good range still at 32, the low end of the good range being 30. So the iron supplement I'm taking is more precautionary. The baby weighs about 3 pounds this week and I've noticed a few more symptoms. The heartburn is getting worse, I have to pee a lot hence the
great deal of pressure I feel on my bladder, I'm starting to swell in my hands and feet more often, and it's difficult to get a good night's sleep as I'm super uncomfortable. Thank goodness for the mild summer weather in Seattle this year or some of my symptoms would be more severe.
Our roadtrip down to the Oregon coast for a wedding turned out great! It was neat exploring a new place and meeting up with friends and family.
It was about 3 hours each way and my pregnant body held up fairly well. Although I opted not to dance at the reception as I could see myself falling on my face with all the extra weight on me. We got some good footage of Ben booging down on the dance floor but I haven't reviewed it yet.
This weekend we are headed East to Lake Wenachee for some camping. I figure if I'm uncomfortable sleeping at home then camping should be just as uncomfortable. It should be a fun trip. Ben is so excited. Last night I think he talked for an hour straight without pausing telling me the rules to all these new games he made up to play on the camping trip like Goblin Observation. I'm still not sure what that game is about but the title intrigued me.
Ten more weeks to go, give or take a week and then little Luke Allen Hunter will join the world. I want to try and get a tour of the birthing center at the hospital next week. I want to be familiar with exactly where to go and all that. I've already pre-registered online for the birth event so I won't need to worry about that when I'm in labor. Now if I could only get Joel to move some furniture around at home then I can finish the baby room setup and get the crib put together before I can no longer see my toes.
I'll post some pictures from the wedding and the camping trip next week. Today I'm in a crunch for time as we have to finish packing and get the tent pitched before it gets dark!
