Week 32 ~ March 30, 2004
~ An April Baby (Maybe?)
Well - I'm still measuring big! I am 35 ½ cm at only 32 weeks. The midwife says there is no need to worry (I'm not worried), but she did recommend an ultrasound. So next Monday, we will see what it says! I keep wondering if maybe I got my dates wrong. But I guess I won't know until I go into labor! And if they change my due date, I don't know that I would have them induce me if I am overdue. It's easy to say that I wouldn't allow an induction now - but who knows how I'll feel in another four weeks.
I keep thinking that I feel right now like I did right before Ethan was born. My mom came over to help me clean and I did a whole bunch of nesting. It helps that Passover starts this Monday, so I had an excuse to clean out the pantry and the fridge! I am ready to start washing baby clothes and getting newborn diapers. But I am trying to hold off until after the ultrasound so I can see how much time I've got left!
Our money situation is still extremely tight. We finally told my father-in-law and his wife why we are now having the baby at the hospital. Of course, he and his wife offered to help us financially, but it hasn't worked well in the past when we have borrowed money from them. My mother-in-law asked why we aren't having the baby at home and I told her, "It just works out better this way" and she didn't ask any more questions. My brother-in-law was confused, so we told him privately that I am on Medicaid and WIC and then he understood.
Steve has several jobs lined up and is extremely stressed trying to get things going. I'm not sure how we are going to pay the rent tomorrow, but God will provide! I just try my hardest to stay calm and help Steve as much as I can. I turned down the part-time job that the software company offered me because I am so unsure about my due date. It was hard to turn down the money, but for the wage they were offering, it just wasn't worth it to leave my kids - plus, they wanted me to work 3-4 days a week, and I just can't ask my mom to watch the kids that often.
The weather here is beautiful so we have been spending a lot of time at the park - Ethan loves the slides! : Have a great week!
