Well, now I'm playing the waiting game. I'm constantly asking myself, "Is today the day?" and I go to bed, hoping to be woken up by contractions.
I had my 39-week checkup and found out that I am Group B Strep positive - again! I asked the doctor (it was "doctor visit" day) and he said that it is pretty common to see it in each pregnancy, once a woman has been diagnosed. I am kind of glad we switched midwives, as the homebirth midwife had told me that probiotics would "cure" Group B Strep. At least now I don't have to worry about the baby getting sick. I know that God does everything for a reason!
I am SO ready for this baby. The bassinet is ready. The clothes are washed. The diapers are stacked. Now the baby just has to be born! Last night, I had some pretty regular contractions, about every 15 minutes or so, but they stopped when I went to bed. Maybe tonight is the night? I have "nested" a ton this week and my mom came over to help me clean, so now would be an ideal time!
Sorry to be so short, but hopefully, the next entry will be my birth story!
