Week 11 - March 5, 2012
Ups and Downs

Up until a few days ago I was feeling quite exhausted every day, and then I happily had two days of normal energy! I thought the first trimester woes were coming to an end, but I guess it was too soon because the exhaustion came back again yesterday. Ah well, I'll be in the second trimester soon enough! In the meantime I'll enjoy any naps I can get. The all-day nausea has improved somewhat but is still there most days. Things that trigger it keep changing. Recently it is water, which is odd for me since I am SUCH a water drinker. Usually I can drink 1 or 2 cups at a time with no problem, but not the past couple days. Now I can only drink about 1/2 cup at a time, which means I need to drink more often. Today I was making lunch (homemade pizzas) and I was SO hungry, so I thought I'd have a banana to tide me over until the pizzas were done. Bad idea, that gave me nausea big time! I just never know until I start eating something. Other fruit still seems to be fine, thankfully.

My sleeping lately is also full of ups and downs. Some nights I sleep soundly, only getting up once or twice to pee. Other nights I am up like 10 times to pee and have a hard time getting back to sleep. Last night was the worst night of all so far, so I'll definitely be going to bed early tonight.

I have actually wanted to work on my websites this week, which I haven't wanted to do for over a month now. The exhaustion has pretty much taken all of my free time. But with the couple days of more energy this week I was able to do some online work, so that was good. Hopefully I can keep it up! I need to get back into crafting as well, to re-stock my etsy shop.

Naren and I have started to look at names in the past few weeks, but we haven't settled on anything yet. He has one name that he likes a lot, but I'm not so sure about it. And any name that I suggest he doesn't like so far. There was one name I liked a lot, but apparently he knew a few people with that name when he was growing up and they were mean. Bummer! I guess we'll just keep looking for now. Mostly we're looking at boys names for now; I have a gut feeling this baby is a boy. Our doctor said she should be able to tell at the next appointment at 16 weeks. I hope she's right; I can't wait to know if I'm right or not!

Hopefully we can get back outside soon. We usually spend the evenings outside, sometimes even eating our dinner out there while Svara plays on the playground. But for the past few weeks I'm too tired, it's raining, I'm cooking, Naren is not home, or we have plans to go somewhere so poor Svara hasn't had much playground time. I'll try to get out there this evening at least for 1/2 an hour or so, it'll be good to get some fresh air and maybe even go for a walk.
