Week 34
Hitting the Home Stretch

This week I can really tell that I'm hitting the homestretch. I'm getting more uncomfortable, more tired, more sore, etc. One thing I'm glad about is that I haven't been nearly as moody the past couple weeks as I was before. I still have some bad days, but overall I'm more cheerful feeling, rather than "every single thing irritates me" feeling. I'm sure the irritability hormones will kick in again at some point, but I'm enjoying the reprieve!

Sleep is hit or miss each night. Some nights I sleep like a log (in between several mandatory bathroom breaks). Other nights I just can't get to sleep even though I am SOOO exhausted. Sometimes it's because of sciatic pain or restless legs, but other times there is no reason, I just can't get to sleep!! Naren gives me a leg massage if my sciatic pain is acting up and that helps. Other nights there is not much he can do for me.

I was being very productive for awhile with my quilling/etsy work, but for the past few days I've been pretty out of it. Probably because of all the poor sleeping, I just can't seem to get any work done!

I am getting really impatient to do baby shopping. Two more weeks and then I should be able to! Then the last week of August we're planning on going on a little vacation up in the mountains. Ah, cool air, I can't wait!!! There is a theme park up there, so we'll go there one day so that Svara can enjoy the rides. I, of course, will not be able to go on the rides except the family train ride, but that's okay. I'll just try to enjoy some snacks and enjoy seeing Svara have fun

Baby girl is finally becoming quite the active kicker! She's not active all day long, but during her active times she can really kick! The other night I couldn't get to sleep because she kept sticking her knee way out on one side and it was quite painful! Finally she stopped when I turned over.

I'm feeling my ribs spread out more this week. Baby girl likes to kick my ribs, which can be quite uncomfortable. And I guess all my internal organs are also being pushed up, spreading apart my ribs. Some days it's okay, other days my whole chest feels quite sore from the widening.

I still don't have much heartburn, but I can't eat too much at once or I do get reflux. I can't eat much Indian or other spicy food, and food with MSG usually doesn't agree with me either, which means no Chinese/other Asian restaurants. That doesn't leave many options for eating out that are inexpensive! I am trying to cook and eat at home as much as possible, but between running errands and just needing to get out of the house we end up eating out a couple times a week.

I'm hoping to get into a nesting mode in the next couple weeks so I can get all the baby clothes and diapers washed and organized. Then all I have to do is finish baby shopping in a couple weeks and then sit back and wait for baby!!
